ABOUT ME

My Story

I’m Kaamil, a student at Bellevue High School with a curiosity that takes me in a lot of different directions, from youth advocacy and public speaking to Classics, chess, entrepreneurship, and community service.

Growing up in Bellevue, I saw how many different cultures, languages, and experiences can exist in one community. But I also learned that being in the same place does not always mean feeling connected. That is what first drew me toward youth leadership and creating spaces where people could share their ideas, cultures, and experiences.

Over time, I’ve come to believe that leadership is less about being the person at the front and more about creating opportunities for other people to be heard. Whether I’m speaking to students, working on a community initiative, building an escape room, or starting a new project, I keep coming back to the same question: How can I bring people closer together and leave something meaningful behind?
